i think this is a really good film. everyone who watched in their teens should see it again in their adult like. Maurice Fishborne is an ideal father! something that is missing in the hood for lots of young kids.

Yeah, its a pretty good movie
Very realistic and it perfectly captures life in the inner city, specifically LA
Cuba and Cube are great in it, and the music is pretty tight too

PS: its Lawrence Fishburne

My opinion is that it is a dumb movie. Did you notice that all those folks live in a house with space???? That is not reality. Most poor Black folks live in slummier and crowded tenements/projects! It also does not depict what is behind the resentment of the prinicpal characters. The Ice Cuba character is angry all the time (at the beginning for no apparently good reason).

A good film is Malcolm X

Ahh that Malcolm x movie pissed me off. I had been wanting to rent that movie for months after I had read the book, and I just gotta say that the book was wayy better. I think Spike Lee over glorified Malcolm a little too much in the film and everything seemed a little too unrealistic and leaving whole storyline plots out. And plus he left main characters out such as Malcolm's Brother and Aunt. I guess that saying is true, "Its better to read the book!!"
