I have read alot of books on capitalism short comings and what it is doing to us... but I have trouble winning arguments, because all the statisics that I find in these books are american so if anyone can help me show them that Canada isn't perfect either, please post some figures and the source. thank you.

What type of statistics: Inequality? Poverty? Unemployment? Earnings? Trade Union Density? Gender Inequality? % earning minimum wage? Maybe some specifics and then I can help you

I'm fine with anything, to show that canada isn't perfect, perhaps the how tax dollars spent (I heard that in the U.S. 1339$ from each person is spent on coperate kick backs, finding something like that in canada would make at least for good start)... sorry for the confusion

There are plenty of books that can help you.
Check out Linda McQuaig's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_McQuaig) and Naomi Klein's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naomi_Klein) books for example.
I can offer up other suggestions as well, but there is just so much. It would depend on a particular issue, i.e. First Nations, Quebec, Kanada's imeprialism, Kanada's social inequity, etc etc.

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (http://www.policyalternatives.ca/) is a good place to look if you just want some general statistics
