So today we receive news that politicians in the UK are pushing for the withdrawal of British soldiers from Iraq, beginning in the near future. On the other hand, Bush is planning to send more troops to Iraq.
Clearly this is going to cause friction between the two governments. But how much? How will this affect relations between the two nations?

Hopefully it will divide the governments enough that their imperialist adventures are alot more ineffective. Though this is doubtful considering how close the two are.

Well, Blair's party and the conservatives still support US foreign policy towards Iraq so it's going to take a while before this stance shifts.

I think that as conditions in Iraq deteriorate, the UK government will face greater opposition to withdraw their troops which will obviously piss off the Americans. Should the UK withdraw, the US will definitely have to do some serious re-examination of their policies and face greater criticism without their strongest ally.

There's a difference between the two nations :D
Lately I couldn't tell last time I was there
especially with the launching of that new multinational LockheedMartin UK, http://www.lockheedmartin.co.uk/
"Lockheed Martin Corporation, an advanced technology company, was formed in March 1995 with the merger of two of the world's premier technology companies"
Well there, seeing as we can get money from our former colony without sending our boys, I see no reason to be messed up with that, leave it to the riff raff.
