Every day TV tells us, that Americans are near Osama bin laden, and that they will catch him any time now.
What do you think about this? He is very smart man, I mean that he always cuts and runs just before americans "find him".
Somewhow I wish that it would still take a while untill he's catched.
So, how do _you_ feel?

I know how you feel about wanting it to take a while, it would be a bit of a let down if he is blown up with a bomb. It wouldn't seem fitting for all the effort gone into capturing him. I think if he isn't caught soon then he will turn into an Elvis like figure, appearing everywhere and anywhere. But more dangerous because he will inspire more fundamentalists.

I don't think it was him for starters but my opinion is.
1)He's worth more to the US as a feared living demon than dead as a muslim martyr.
2)I think he might already be a cult hero.
3)He's not too smart, to have ended up in this position.
Overall if the US kills him or has killed him it would be in their best interest to keep quite, all the while saying he's missing in action or they can't determin if he's dead or alive.
If he inspires more fundamentalists it will be a bad day for all humanity.

if the americans kill bin laden, they will have a revenche war of many many terrorists.
if the americans put bin laden in jail, they will have terrorists who kill to get him free.

hehe the Americans helped to build Torra-Borra they know how hard it is to overmaster it but still they send out thousends of soldiers to fight and maybe even die, an probably the will never catch Osama. I think by now he is safe on an island far away from Afghanistan. on one side I think the attacks on the 11 septhember were a good sign to America and it's leaders that they are not safe at all! thy may have the biggest bombs and the biggest army but still they are f***ing weak!
thats all I wanted to say about that

I do not mean to insult Che in anyway by the statement, but there is no other large scale comparison. OBL could easily become a cult figure, one day trendies may wear his face on t-shirts and he could be inspiring new fundamentalists.
In my statement I am not linking the idealogies of Che and OBL, they are polar opposites. This is just a disclaimer so that people can not rant at me.

Yeah America has all the bombs, and we're shaking in our boots. Man, wouldn't you like that. Unfortunately the aftermath of sept.11 has only proven that the USA is not to be fucked with my friend. On the contrary, we did get rid of the "true" islamic emirate.

Does it really matter if they catch Osama?
Won't they find another one afterwards?
The biggest enemy of humanity is USA and all the things that this country represents..
I was watching aircrafts over my head, they were going to bomb Yugoslavia.I'm convinced that one day these ppl may bomb my country because they like to throw bombs, they like to spread death,in the name of their morals and their sickness.
And Freiheit don't forget that Derar comes from Yugoslavia (right?),so he's seen the unreasonable nature of the States in all its greatness..

I agree with you that Che and OBL should not be compared, and this is why I put this statement at the end of the topic:
In my statement I am not linking the idealogies of Che and OBL, they are polar opposites.
That clearly shows that I am not comparing Che and OBL, only the reactions of people that may support the actions.

It is not in the interests of the U$ to find Bin Laden. That would bring subconscious closure to this whole thing and might lead to lower support numbers.
Simply put, Bush doesn't want to find Bin Laden because with him 'loose' he can always ring the terrorist bell to get money, political sway, whatever.
My bet is that Bin Laden is on a sunny island somewhere in the Pacific that the U$ is protecting, keeping him there until they might need him.
OR they already have his body and are keeping it on ice until they need it.

Obviously the government is hiding something. In fact, the government of Afghanistan did offer to hand Bin Laden over to a world court, yet the US rejected. Why? If they supposedly had 'all the evidence they need' to prove him guilty, then why would they be so afraid? Instead, they are planning on bringing him to a US court, (Which I guarentee, no matter how much evidence anyone brings to prove if he was innocent, he will be charged as guilty..) and try him there? Until the tapes (With really crappy resolution) were released, they had absolutely no evidence that he commited the act, in addition, he continues to claim that he did not commit the crimes. If he did commit the crimes, someone must have been slacking off at the control tower, and not paid attention to the fact that a plane was flying on an unregitered course 360 degrees from it's origional flight path. Don't you think someone would have paid attention to this? I'm sure that the entire New York air traccif control team wouldn't have been asleep during the time. And when the planes struck, not a single order was given by the president to put anyone on alert. Not until everythign was over, did he begin to comment and warn people of the dangers. I am in no way 'supporting' or 'defending' Bin Laden. I like him in no way, and do not appreciate him because of his sexist views on women, and his views towards other innocent people who do not follow in his footsteps. I do however, think that there are several facts and contradictions that need to be cleaned up at the time.
