can people tell me why they think that the exploited are racist

quite concerned since i do quite like some of their songs in particular "Choas Is My Life"

has anyone else seen the exploited montreal riot video on you tube, it does make me laugh

so yeh back to the point, how are they racist? im probably just being nieve since ive only recently started listening to them.

Wattie (the singer) has said some racist shit on stage, and hangs out with lots of Nazi ****s.

As far as I remember Wattie was a good friend of Ian Stewart, leadsinger in the racist band Screwdriver. Think he even performed with them.

everyone knows Skrewdriver are nazis but even what about some of the exploiteds lyrics

for example in the song 40 odd years it says something like

"Mussolini was a fascist pig Hitler was no better
Tojo was an imperialistic nip But Stalin managed to go one better"

doesnt really excuse them from supporting skrewdriver though

Hmm think bottom line is Wattie is a confused old man. Think he doesn't really have much idea what he thinks. He's just into the whole punk thing and being a "bad rebel" in anyway he can. This is of course my very subjective reasoning speaking.
Always thought there was way better punk than Exploited though, only tracks by them im really into are Cop Cars and Son of a Copper.

what you guys really don't seem to get is the exploited weren't meant to be a political punk band, they were just a simple oi! punk band that sung about getting drunk and beating the shit outa people sure they may have used small political referances in some songs but for the most part thats not what they were about, like im with you guys i don't like the fact he said some racist shit or chilled with screwdriver but thats not what the band was about, they were about getting drunk and being punk.
