How can I help fight fascism?

Hi,

I live in Leeds in Yorkshire, England and am getting increasingly alarmed at the rise of the BNP and other fascist groups in and around my area. I have asked the 635 group if I can join them but so far they have not replied. Can anyone give me some advice and information on how I can fight the fascists? I am working on the assumption that doing so through democratic, ballot-box means is at best ineffective, but if anyone believes otherwise and can change my mind...
Also, if there's anyone from Leeds or Bradford area involved in the anti-fascist movement I would be obliged if you could contact me and give me some advice.

Im a member of Antifa UK so If you give me your e-mail address, or any other contact details, I can forward it to the 365 group internally. They will probably ask me to give you a phone number, and arrange a meet up to check you out at some point.

They are tediously slow and require a lot of pushing to respond to membership requests so, give it a little while. I think it's their way of weeding the fash from the rest of us :lol:

Anyway until that time there are a few other things you could do. If you have any specific details on Fascists or fascist activity, names, meeting places, or even if you've seen some stickers/posters in a certain place you can forward all your information to Fashwatch (http://www.fashwatch.org) and they will send you a load of good quality, vinyl Fashwatch stickers to plaster your neighborhood. And if the infomation is important, they may get in touch about organising an action.

Normally not very long atall, they could perhaps be there in a week or so.

im sure if there are any they'll show up eventually. You might want to ask on the Antifascist section of the Libcom.org/forums
