I'm studying history and Russia's history, about Stalin right now. And I deffinitely would not say that he was good man. He was paranoiac! He got his army leaders killed, because he thought they were threat for him. Then he attacked Finland, with no leaders. We won. Surpise? No.

His people in poor town actually ate eachother, because that was the last resort. I've seen pictures of it. It was... shocking. Ecch...

I myself find it very hard to find books that don't paint him as evil incarnate, but who prints most of the books?
I'm not saying he was a saint, but I don't believe all the propaganda.

Stalin took his country from a feudal state to a psuedo-communist one in less than a decade. Then he defeated Hilter. (The war was over before June 6, 1944.) In doing so he killed a lot of people. As to how bad he was you probably should compare what he did with what Caesar, Napoleon, Alexander, etc. did, at least in terms of how many people he killed.

Well, not exactly "Russia"; the Soviet Union would have been fucked. But, according to Trotsky, it was fucked anyway, because the theory says you cant go from feudalism to communism without a stopover at capitalism. The Chinese are trying it. I think the question is still unresolved.

Stalin was no saint at all, in fact there were many completely ridiculous things he did, such as killing some of the most pro-communist poets and military figures.
But we have the advantage of hindsight, and how was stalin to know?
he was building a superpower from scratch, infact, worse than scratch. And he succeeded, he turned a backward nation into the greatest power in the world,
he destroyed the fascists vitually single handedly,
he was the only european leader to fight for the spanish civil war. And yet we atatck him with no end. He could control the fact that there was to be a famine,without him maybe even more owuld have died, i urge u comrades, to think about stalin before trying to writing him off.

stalin was a totalitarian dictator who tortured 'his' people. he was like hitler brutal, bad and a maniac.

you mustnt say that you dont believe what ppl say, all this stuff is a fact. no one without kamo has a real pro stalin argument.

MJM, I study it from school books.

Baybe, that he did something good but... Well, I find him kinda bad guy. Lenin himself warned Russians about him. He said something that if this guy get to "play the ruler", things will get real bad. And they did. Stalin made people love him. If they didn't it goodbye for them.

Have you ever noticed, that he doesn't show his right hand in any picture? That's because when he was young a snake btite his arm. He could have died, but didn't. *sigh*

i believe the books i read.
if you say stalin was not bad, you can also say hitler was not bad. it is the same thing. you also hear only propaganda about hitler.
but both were as bad as shit. millions of ppl died because of them, that is fact. you can ask russia. even stalin's closest party members did not send him doctors when he was dieign. because they were afraid to be killed.

i didnt read the whole book, only some parts.
it is a big propaganda against russia, for sure. the winner writes the history books, i know. but some parts are true. they exgerate. they counted that communism killed 100 million ppl.
but where smoke is, is fire as well. and that stalin kille lots of ppl is a sad fact.
