Little Mosque on the Prairie, new CBC show

So, CBC came up with a new show and it was released just after the new year. The lead up to the show was major non-stop advertising. The show is called "Little Mosque on the Prairie":

The name is a pun on the show "Little House on the Prairie" which was about early "settlers" who where devout Christians and worked hard to live on the land.

Of course, before the show was released boneheads on shitfront where in an uproar. Worried that white people are being made to look stupid, while Muslim's are made the wise ones.

My gosh, one show out of thousands that doesn't centre around white people! How oppressed white people are indeed! :lol: :rolleyes:

Recently, the Toronto Sun, a right-wing sexist tabloid that most Kanadians don't even consider an newspaper, with it's history of racist sensationalism of minority crime and support and practice of racial profiling, not to mention it's support for Zionism, published a racist attack on the show:

I read Michael Corens horrendous article while on my break from being a slave at Sobeys. They only let us read right wing trash like that and celebrity news...it angers me, but I do it to get a feel of what the ignorant people of my country are being bombarded by. Holy shit was I pissed off. I have a long history of hatred of Michael Coren. He was one of the first people to show me that just because his views on the Iraq War are against the war, does not mean he has an enlightened view of the conflict. Coren argues we should have stayed out of Iraq because the Arabs are all fucked up heathens and we should let them screw eachother over. I hate this man with a burning intensity of a thousand flamming daggers. He had the chutzpah to come and speak at my university!! He gave a lecture (which I was going to crash had Steven Lewis not been giving a lecture on the situation of AIDS in Africa the same night) entitled "Mere Catholicism", and the description of the lecture said, and I paraphrase "renouned journalist and intellectual Michael Coren discusses the Catholic faith, why its right, and why it is the only viable solution"

I dont think he had a very large following that night, being as my university isnt the most conservative-friendly one out there (I say this with pride) but DAMN I hate Michael Coren!!


Joe Warmington is an asshole who writes for the Toronto Sun as well.

They have their pictures on their articles. Michael is a fatass old Catholic bastard looking guy who really could stand to cut back on his marshmellows and Christbloodohol.
