Hip-hop production is what I consider to be the 5th element of hip-hop. Who do you guys think are the best producers? I personally really like the Bomb Squad (PE), Medasyn (Lady Sovereign), and Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley). While I respect him a lot 'cause he was really innovative, I'm not a huge fan of Dre 'cause I'm not that big of a fan of G-Funk.

you gotta put Dre up there man, seriously how can someone that produces for fukin lady soveriegn be ahead of a pioneer like Dre. But anyway Dj Premier is heavy, Jurassic 5 (Dj Nu mark and Cut Chemist) always have heavy beats so do The Coup (Pam the Funktress). There are a lot of heavy producers about tho.
Timbaland is cool, but he needs to work with sum better artists.
If you like hip hop check this site out

And i guess that you listen to Krs One, from the fact that you number the Elementz of Hip Hop.

I said I respect Dre because he was/is so innovative, but I am not a big fan of G-Funk myself. And I like Medasyn a lot because he incorporates a lot of house and techno music into his songs which I like a lot.

"No ID" deserves a mention, simply for producing most of Common's "Resurrection" album.

I heard that stoupe is a racist. Cause he was at some show and someone passed him a blunt with nothing in it supposedly and apparently he said "fucking black people".
But my favorite producers are...........
will.I.am
Dangermouse
Southpaw (he does production for Immortal Technique and company)
Akir
Eyego/Direct (they do production for Reef the Lost Cauze)
King Magnetic
and............
Me (even though I'm not that good at it)

Using sales as an indicator of talent and skills is ridiculous
Lil John's sold millions, does that mean he got skills?
Same goes for idiots like Laffy Taffy and other clown shit in hiphop
