are millitant groups or millitias protected by the u.s. constitution? as an individual i am told i have the right to bear arms but what part of the constitution quotes this "individual right"? Also would i be right in thinking that Che believed guerrilla warefare was the way to go? or did it apply only for such a time period?
i only ask because im curious to know if association or membership in a private army is considered "evil" or "wrong". please help me if you can. thanks.

Yeah, Gogo, don't be getting any wild ideas, especially with the Patriot Act enforced.

A citizen of the US has the right to bear firearms in the US, if the citizen is 18 or older and the firearm is legal and registered. There is a lot of stipulations as to what constitutes legality of a firearm; i.e. a silencer on a gun is illegal, a sawed-off shot gun is illegal, any kind of assault weapon or police weapon, and you can't stockpile them. And yeah, belong to a militia that is not the parcel of the US military is illegal.

oh... the right to bear arms falls under the Second Amendment.

Here's some sites. I didn't check them thoroughly, so I don't know if they are some right-wing NRA or what.

all these gun control laws, but the irony is you can go into K-mart and purchase a rifle and the bullets for it over-the-counter. Ha!
