For all those of you unlucky enough to live outside the UK and therefore be unaware of the phenomenon that is The Mighty Boosh, I can only begin to tell you about the most fantastic comedy to come out of British TV in YEARS!

Basically it's the adventures of zookeepers Vince Noir and Howard Moon, with their friends Naboo the shaman and Bollo the talking Gorrilla, in the Zooniverse. It's hilarious (even better when you're stoned) and practically defys description. If you're reading this and you've got a spare half hour, go onto youtube.com and look up 'The Mighty Boosh'. If you search, there are whole episodes on there. Start with 'Killeroo' and if that doesn't make you laugh, then shoot yourself; life aint worth livin!

Let me know what you think here

You people suck! The Mighty Boosh is awful. The only thing worse, aside from a brain haemorrhage, is Titty Bangbang.
British comedy is generally shit.

Little Britain would've been better at just 2 series. Red Dwarf is good, i'll admit, as is Blackadder and Monty Python's Flying Circus, but they're all old.
Shameless is good but that also has drama elements.
BBC comedy is pretty shite:
Titty Bangbang, Jam and Jerusalem, Vicar of Dibley, The Mighty Boosh. Need I say more?
Channel 4 does some good comedy like Shameless and I have just warmed up to Russell Brand. Also, yes I missed Black Books which is awesome, also on c4. As is Father Ted.
Give me a list of ten bbc comedies that are MORE amusing than a brain haemorrhage.

Personally I love shows we have in Britain like Have I Got News For You, Friday Night Project, etc. with various comedians on, I loved the Great Big Fat Quiz Of The Year a few weeks ago presented by Jimmy Carr, Russell Brand and Noel Fielding are fucking brilliant together :D

Oh, and QI is fucking brilliant. So great in fact, I have reserved it its own paragraph in this post.

Little Britain was good for series one, but it's gone on too long and they're milking it for all its worth.
I think The Mighty Boosh is good, but not excellent - I have to be in the mood for that sort of comedy, I love the episode with the goths, as well as the one with the sandpaper man who gets gloves and can finally enjoy a wank :D Good surreal comedy, best enjoyed when stoned.

Titty Bangbang, Jam and Jerusalem, Vicar of Dibley

I agree, these are all shit.

Shameless is really good, and just because it's a drama, doesn't mean you can't classify it as a comedy. The first two series were excellent, but it's been in gradual decline since, it's getting a bit ridiculous now (like in last Tuesday's episode where that little dog managed to drag Frank out of a burning house).

QI is one of the best shows on BBC2 in years. I hope they plan more of them.
As for the mighty boosh I think its horses piss.

HAZAAAAAAAAAAR!

OK I amend it once more: bbc sitcoms and sketch shows since about 1997 have been wank!

Does anyone else (with annoyed inflection) want to trash my revisions???

That was great, would've been better if Johnathan Ross had just kept his mouth shut throughout though.

Little Britain would've been best if it had stayed on radio, the TV sketches were irritating and the dressing up detracted from it I thought.

The Mighty Boosh however, is superb. I want to be Vince Noir when I grow up.
