I've been listening to Pearl Jam a lot recently, and I was wondering if they had any fans here.

My favorite songs by them in no particular order:

The whole Ten album
State Of Love And Trust
Immortality
Spin The Black Circle
Yellow Ledbetter
Nothingman
Given To Fly
Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
Dissident
Go
Animal
Rearviewmirror
Do The Evolution
Breath
Light Years
Betterman
Nothing As It Seems
Last Kiss
Daughter
Love Boat Captain
Corduroy
Footsteps
I Am Mine

There are probably more I forgot, but you get the picture, I like em a lot. :P

EDIT: Oh yeah, and their Do the Evolution (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpkfDXJp5jQ) video rules.

Pearl Jam is pretty good as far as grunge goes. Ten is a good album but I also like songs such as Dissident (one of my favourites), Do The Evolution, Yellow Bedletter, World Wide Suicide, etc.

I only know "Release me" and "Teenage Wasteland", which are both good songs in my opinion ;)

EDIT: The video clip of "Do The Evolution" kicks ass!

I have all their albums, but they are not as good as soundgarden or alice in chains. In my humble opinion.

I haven't heard much of Soundgarden, so I can't comment on that, but I have heard the entire discography of Alice in Chains, and to be honest I only liked 4 - maybe 5 - songs.

Compared to Pearl Jam that's very weak.

btw, Pearl Jam is shit
grunge as a cultural and musical movement is dead, thank god
the official position of the revolutionary left is that Pearl jam sucks
the music mod has spoken

Even though Ten is widely regarded as a decent album, their later work is considered "pop-ish" or "weak", which is not true in my opinion. I admit that their last album wasn't very good, but they had some pretty good albums after Ten, and some very good songs. To name a few: Off He Goes, State of Love and Trust, Hail Hail, Dissident.

I can think of a lot more...but my point is that their later work is also very good, so I recommend everyone to download their greatest hits album and check out some of their later post-Ten songs.

I'm not sure if you even like Ten though....if you don't, then you are a lost cause. :P
