Well I actually am planning to go to the next Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot, http://www.knobcreekrange.com/shootinfo.htm , on April 13-15 which I posted about in my thread about starting a militia. And one thing I would like to do is hand out pamphlets or flyers that explains what communism/anarchy really is.They need to be short and easy to read and it would probably be best if they didn't even find out that it was about communsim/anarchy until they finished reading it.
So does anybody have any links that would be helpfull to me?
Also keep in mind that the large majority of the people are probably Libertarians so they already have a distrust of the governmnet, and they love gus :D. I think that the pamphlets should probably focus on the evils of capitalism.

How 'bout this one?
Tyranny of democracy
When a person is born in a certain country, s/he must follow the rules of that country.
This is commonly accepted as being normal, even though that person had no say whatsoever in the making of these rules, nor have they had the chance to agree or disagree with them, from the moment s/he is born, s/he has to obey the rules.
Of course, you say, if the person doesn’t agree, s/he can move somewhere else. That is true, but in every country the same problem occurs - you obey the rules or you pack up and leave. There is not a single place on this planet (except maybe some places in Antarctica where it is impossible to live) that isn't owned by a country or a company. From the moment we are born, we are forced to obey rules that others have made for us. Through democracy and elections, we are being told that we are in fact free, more free then we will ever be, and that we do have a chance to change things. In theory that might be true. Reality is a different matter. In reality, a tiny portion of a country’s population make the decisions for everyone else, and this portion is so small that it can't possibly represent the whole population accurately.
Whatever excuse they might give you for the way things are now, the truth is that this situation only existed because of the right of the strongest. Countries weren’t created through elections or by agreement of the people, they were taken forcibly by warlords and their soldiers. Later on, as we became more civilised, reasons were made up to justify this; Religion, ‘Justice’, 'Regime Change'.
But when people are trying to do the same thing - When they try to create a place where they are in control, or where there is no state control at all, they are being vilified and even criminalised and laws are being thought of to imprison them. That’s when it becomes clear that this democracy is just an illusion, that we free as long as we do what they want us to do.
You ask us why we rebel? Why we revolt against democracy?
Because if that is democracy, then we spit on democracy.

This text clearly needs to be eddited. For example:
When a person is born in a certain country, s/he must follow the rules of that country.
This is commonly accepted as being normal, even though that person had no say whatsoever in the making of these rules, nor have they had the chance to agree or disagree with them, from the moment s/he is born, s/he has to obey the rules.
For communists and certainly anarchists this part seems to be evident. Thought people who read this will think this is typical for anarchist: "destroying" the nation/world by ignoring rules and laws that protect us.
You should (IMO) actually give examples of stupid, absurd rules or laws (and there are many), laws that don't work for everyone or give situations in which the nation, because of the system/laws, opresses the masses; use the war in Iraq as an example the problems with contemporary democraty, attack the freedom is used under capitalism as capitalism doens't want to give you economical freedom only "political freedom" (if you're born in the West).
But the best way to make people think of the world is by using local problems in your flyers.

I've been thinking about this, since I want to spread a lot of pamphlets throughout an impoverished city nearby.
What I want to do is have the first pamphlet be just an introduction, only pointing out what is wrong in the world, and hinting at how it can be changed. I really want to get people to realize the situation around them and see the root causes. The second pamphlet would then be showing how and why it can be changed, and what they can do.
The trouble is I don't know how in depth to go with it. Do I try to bring up more difficult concepts early on? Do I bring them up at all? I'm trying to stay away from strong rhetoric, too, since regular people won't understand and will be confused.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to write a pamphlet that will help to get people thinking and looking at the way society is and the way society can be changed, I would greatly appreciate them.
Also, this city was very prosperous until all its industry abandoned the region. So it's basically a case of an entire community being left out to dry by the bourgeoisie. First, does anyone know if there are any writings (Marxist, Anarchist, whatever ideology you know best) pertaining to this sort of occurence? Secondly, is there anything that I should highlight that would speak to this group and the problems they face?
Thanks in advance.

An archist - Thanks for the reply, :D Short and sweet, I like it.
Racoon - Sounds good. I can think of many laws that would work for me, especially if I use gun laws :D. Also I am hoping that they don't even realise that it is advocating communism/anarchy until they get through reading it so I am hoping that they will not even see it as saying it is about destroying things.
Love_Underground - Ok, :D

Well, Raccoon, we're both from the same country so the laws and regional problems here are the same for both of us, if you feel like editing, please, go ahead, I'd be delighted :)
