I've been having a little trouble playing the songs I listen to on the guitar. For most of these songs it is incredibly easy to find tabs, yes. But tabs don't have chord names, which leaves me bumbling to find the right fret on the acoustic and not even knowing how often to strum (1, 2, 4 beats?). So what I was looking for would NOT be something like this:

E-----------------------|
B-----------------------|
G-9--9--9--13-----------|
D-----------------------|
A-7--7--7--11-----------|
E-----------------------|

But rather something like this:

G G G C
Lyrics lyrics lyrics lyrics
G G D7 G
lyrics lyrics lyrics lyrics

Does anyone know of sites that would have that kind of chord diagram?

Thanks.

Go to 911tabs.com, it'll tell you whether the page has tabs or chords.

 Excellent. I'll just ignore the fact that I don't like bass and pursue it because it's easier to play and find tabs. Er. Yeah.

"I mean its just that its been buggin' me, this cool thing. I mean what is it? How do you get it? Who doesn't have it? And who decides who doesn't have it? What is the essence of cool?"

"Not sure."

"I mean you yourself Oz are considered more or less cool, why is that?"

"Am I?"

"Is it the talking? You know, the way you tend to express yourself in short, non-committal phrases?"

"Could be."

"No, no. You're in a band, that's like a business-class ticket to cool with complimentary mojo after takeoff. I should play an instrument. Is it hard to play guitar?"

"Not the way I play it."

"Okay, but on the other hand, eighth grade I'm taking the flugel horn and getting zero trim, so the instrument thing could be a mislead. But you need a thing. One thing nobody else has. What do I have?"

"An exciting new obsession, which I feel makes you very special."

Yeah, being a killer bassist is a lot more badass than being an insane shredder...that's why I play both. :D
