hi,
i'm from germany, sorry for my bad english...

franz kafka was a german poet.
i don't that he was a socialist, i think thats totally wrong. he wrote very serious and metaphorical storys and peoms.

i think he was no libertarian socialist, thats propaganda.

I HIGHLY recommend 'Metamorphosis' and 'The Trial' - which is exquisite. Kafka was German but lived in Prague for quite awhile - I've visited his house there, the cafe where he hung out and the Kafka Literary Institute - inspiring!

i'm reading 'the castle'

it's good to know he had no political intentions - i'd like to get a way from politics for a while ;)

I feel like the character in Metamorphis right now.

I agree with you pce about politics - And I have always been militant - but I am sooo sick of death, destruction, war & hate. I cannot believe that people who have to share a planet would go about with such an intent on destructing each other and the world. All sides, all means, all people. Everything just looks grim and doomed.
