The CPRF is propably one of the biggest communist parties in the world. They claim to have 700 thousands of votes and are one of the biggest oponent of Putin's goverment.
But, I have got few doubts.
First of all CPRF is not allowing of much political debate inside the party and often the differences leads to splits as the last that founded CPRF 'Tikhonov'.
Secondly I've heard from the Weekly Worker (article of quite trotkyst thinker- Boris Kagarlitsky) that CPRF is blaiming immigrants for russian unemployment and is even in electional coalition with rightist Movement Against Illegall Immigration. Is it really true?
What do you think of CPRF and their leader Giennadij Ziuganow?

CPRF want "Socialism of a Chinese style" and yes, they are anti-immigrant and populist. But cosmopolitism and tolerance is a certain way to death for any Russian party today.
Here is their site.

So you mean that all even communist parties want to get rid of immigrants? I though that AKM is quietly opposing antimigrant views?
From their site I also recognised that they are building somthing as United Opposition together with National-Bolsheviks, Rodina and... liberal party Jabloko? Oh, damm.
I think throwing Putin is very important but together with liberals? Oh, that's a quite shitty. I don't know why all strong parties must nearly always be: 'communist' not just communist.
And what about second party- it was something like Communist Workers Party of Russia and was leaded by the Wiktor Tiulkin? I remember that they call CPRF reformist but were starting to their list to the parlament.

Democratic socialists who want a return to the "good old days of socialism". I don't think that any return to those days is healthy much less possible especially since their support has dropped quite a bit since Yeltsin's years.

Judging from images on the front page, Chris Farley is alive and well as a Russian communist.
