Its tragic how he died all of a sudden
I heard he caught pneumonia while doing some charity work in NY early saturday morning, then he died on xmas day

Probably because this site was down when he died.

Anyways, he was possibly the most influential musician of the twentieth century... and the most unpredictable of the twenty first century. Second only to MJ.

James Brown was brilliant, a brilliant musician. He wasn't too much a fan of our ideologies though, he was a radical capitalist. Or what he called "Black Capitalism". Black independence and justice within a capitalist society.

But I do really like his music, one of my favourite songs is Get up off that thing.

Yeah, I was kinda surprised that there was no thread about him either. Anyways, he was definitely one of the most influential musicians of our time and I think many of us are gonna miss him.
