You can join an organisation that is active in the neighbourhood. Not revolutionary per se. Besides my membership of the CWI, I'm active in several local organisations that help the weaker people of society.

cumbia, what the hell? Its a normal question, one that is asked about here a fair bit. Why don't you grow up, and respect that not everyone knows instinctively what it is they can do for class struggle <_<

For starters, have a look at some of the national or international organisations around - they can help you with things that you might not be able to handle with just the advice of this forum (or any others you might visit).

Have a look at Love Underground's thread on starting a local action group, it has some decent pointers on it - http://www.revolutionaryleft.com/index.php...topic=60305&hl= (http://www.revolutionaryleft.com/index.php?showtopic=60305&hl=). The main emphasis of it is to find something that is important to your local community (you might have to range a bit further abroad if you live in a bourgeois area - any help they are likely to give won't be of much use to a leftist group) and work from there, without being very... aggressive with your Communist/anarchist/Wiggumist tendencies (Wiggumism FTW) - most people will be scared off any group that opens with slogans and theory :)

Hopefully some more experienced members will gravitate to this thread, since they have more knowledge of this kind of thing :)

I'm not sure I'm that helpful as I've never lived in the 'burbs but maybe you can organize a students’ collective? Students tend to be a heavily maligned section of the population — disenfranchisement, alienation, ageism, etc.

Do we really want that? The youth has been so often such a radical revolutionary group.

can someone ban this kid. Almost every comment I have read from him has been rude.

Anyway back onto topic

I suggest getting into touch with local leftist groups. If there isnt then I would try to set-up a club or something similar to that in order to get more comrades. Also always stay active by always stating your opinon in school, reading leftist books, and of course coming back to rev left and reading the post and particapting in discussions here because it makes you much more knowledgable and aware.

Try to find people sympathetic to your ideas and work with them or try to find leftist groups in your area. And check in Practice for more specific advice, etc.

where abouts is "my neighborhood" ?
I'd be bloody shocked if there was a whole suburb of bourgeoisie families. Presumably they are middle to upper working class. Which is not an alltogether bad scenario. You don't have to organise your suburb, doing so in the town/city would perhaps be more fruitful.

What I suggest you do is either consider forming your own local group, which I will be more than willing to help with. Or join an existing one.

I know several contacts in wales, but I need to know where in wales you are.

With regards a magazine being too expensive, I've got a load of Gagged leaflets you could have for free if you're willing to do something with them. Technically, I should have done something with them by now ... but I haven't.

From what you've said, I'm guessing you live in Sketty or somewhere like that. So, if you like, I'll send them to you. I think I've got about a good few hundred of the most recent edition and they're in good condition.

This board has a personal messaging function that allows members to correspond with each other in private. If you like, you contact me through that particular medium.

Or, alternatively, I could meet you in person and give you the leaflets. This week wouldn't be very good -- busy all week and a good friend of mine has just come home from Scotland, so the weekends going to be a heavy one. But I could probably meet you on the Sunday after next; maybe the Saturday, depending on what time I'm working.

Either way, whatever you're most comfortable with.

I could probably guess what School you attend ... but that would be a bit too creepy. <_<

By the way, would I be right in assuming that you are too young to meet in a Pub? Because, if you can get served, then I'd suggest meeting in either The Office (by McDonald's) or Revolutions (bottom of Wind Street).

Well im glad you two have managed to hook up.

I remember AS, a while ago talking about getting in tough with the Cardif Anarchist group. Im not sure how succesful that was in the end, but I met up with a guy from CAG a few weeks ago and mentioned the trouble you (or whoever it was) had getting in contact.

If you still haven't managed to link up and want to get them involved in this, let me know and I'll ask them to get in touch with you.

Or you can e-mail them here; cardiffanarchists(at)riseup.net
