Dont do Ghandi. He was a hypocrit. All he did was replace the British ruling class with Indian ruling class.

I'll definately post some later. I have a book with several pages of great Gandhi pictures. I just don't feel up hooking up my scanner to scan them right now.

ok while this subject gets completly derailed as we bash a activist/ defend him I'm going to go ahead and assume I'm on my own. I like marcos's beliefe that u should not start an armed revolution only if its completly necassary and I just wanted to do a peice with gandhi in it for that reason. Serously sometimes I wonder how much different you people are from the people on the nazi forums supressing art just becuase it doesn't support your revolution directly. I mean come on get over it.

Are u suggesting that we have fascist tendencies here at RevLeft?
If u think we're so much like those racist fuckers, then leave
This is RevLeft, our art is meant to inspire and praise revolutionary marxism/anarchism throughout the world
We don't doodle nor fancy pictures or art that is reactionary
"You people," what does that mean? Are u some sort of art loving liberal hippie?

all I'm saying is there are things that gandhi did that have had major impacts on movements in general his hunger strike proved that one man can change alot of lives sure he isn't che guevera or Zapata but thats the thing he tried to accomplish his goals non violently if you can find me a leftist revolutionary who did that I would be happy to use that person in my artwork. My artwork, especially as of late, has been mostly revolutionary themed I'm just haveing trouble finding material and I thought "hey gandhi is pretty inspireing in the way he tried to bring about change peacefully." I also thought my comrades here at revleft might have some images to help me out. I'm sorry if I over reacted I'm just a little frustrated that it seems like there is way to much internal fighting between leftists here and I think we should be focused on trying to get other people to see a more leftist way of thinking and maybe change there thoughts to that I know none of us were born revolutionaries and I know the reason why I'm here right now as a leftist is becuase there were comrades out there willing to help me along. I would just like to see more of that thats all. Like instead of bashing gandhi maybe give me a suggestion of another revolutionary who was more leftists. It just seems to me being positive and friendly to those in need is more revolutionary then acting hostile and agressive which to someone who is still formulateing there ideas seems counter revolutionary.

Gandhi certainly had a impact on India, however it is one that does very lil to uplift the Indian proletarian and peasant
And I agree, there is a lot of fighting between us, however I think that it is a positive aspect of democracy under socialism for factions to argue, debate, and discuss policies to improve society
It is certainly better than one major faction have carte blanche to do whatever it deems appropriate, without opposition or debate

I apologize if we sounded over aggressive, but the man (Gandhi) did discriminate against South Africans during his time in that country
So, maybe u could understand why we disapprove of him

If you're interested, look up Emma Goldman
Or even Eugene Debbs

Here's a website about her http://www.judibari.org/

She'd be better than Ghandi at any rate!

Fuck you armchair shouters, at least Gandhi did something and some sort of revolution. All you do and did was to cloak Leftism to cover your sad life.
