Yes, all mainstream media can get pretty icky, but this is so pathetic and overtly biased and inept that Ted Rogers ought to rename his magazine "Newsmax North".
On the page entitled "Good News/Bad News", the following brief article appeared under the "Bad News" heading:
No Relief
With a gust of hyperbole, socialist crusader Hugo Chavez won a six-year mandate as president of Venezuela, ending a lively but generally discouraging week in Latin American politics. While Cuba dictator Fidel Castro's grasp on power seems to be slipping (he missed his rescheduled 80th birthday party due to poor health), Mexico's parliament dissolved into chaos as leftist demonstrators tried to stop the inauguration of newly elected (Personal note: It pains me to use that word in reference to Calderon's fraudelent rise to power.) president, Felipe Calderon. Any illusion that moderation was gaining a foothold in the region faded with Chavez's proclamation of victory over "the devil" -- i.e. George W. Bush.
