Cold War...you know that don't you??

Native's -> Look up the residential schools. kids caught practicing native religion/traditions where thrown into these schools and "canadianized." It was a horrible practice that only ended in the 1980's. A shame to a nation.

Politics in Canada-> Pearson made his intro. The Avro Arrow began to be developed, Duplessis (I think that is his name) stirred up french nationalism, but tried to keep the quebecois peasants.

St. Laurent-> one of those PM's who blend into nothingness into my mind.

Dief the Chief-> He ordered built a huge ass bunker (the diefen bunker) incase of nuclear fallout in Ottawa. He canceled the Avro Arrow, the worlds most advanced fighter jet until recently (If I remember correctly). Also he was from Western Canada, Manitoba I believe, and had a much more unified Canada in mind. He also tacked 'Progressive' onto the Conservative party and supported nukes in Canada.

Duplessis. The bloc hate him. I dislike him. He basically stirred up french nationalism while he put them intot he mud.
