Ok, so I think I've figured it out but I'm not sure, so help me out here if I am wrong.
Marx said that society has evolved (and is evolving) through the division of labour and the means of production. That capitalism is just part of this evolution and the last stage is communism?
Am I way off base here or what?

THat's pretty much it. When society develops new means of production, eventually, as they catch on and spread, we enter into a new era in general.

If I am correct...Marx said the last stage should be Socialism-Communism (remember that there is a period of "whithering away of the state"; the socialist period which, when the state whithers, would lead to communism) but that there is a possibility of a relapse into something called barbarism (maybe I'm wrong, a more knowledgeable Marxist should clarify this)

I would say the last stage would be relative to Anarchist-Communism.

Wait...is it Socialist Communism or Anarchist-Communism?

It is "Socialist Communism" (the first phase) followed by "Anarchist-Communism" (the second phase).
