Marxism refers to the theories and ideas set out by Karl Marx which, among alot of other stuff that I'm not about to explain in one go here, says that in order to achieve communism in a real world scenario the working class must overthrough the Bourgeois (capitalist class) in a revolution (most likely of a violent nature) and establish a workers state which will operate on a form of socialism, whereby all means of production are state owned owned independently in small businesses (which would be subject to regulation). The state would be democraticly run with a high degree of civil participation in order to see that industry is catering to the needs of the people.
