I know this will be controversial, but has anyone seen it? It's glorifying reactionary imperialist forces and it's definately not a leftist movie, but what did you think of it?

I haven't seen it, I hate Bond movies. However a friend of mine said it departs from the normal Bond movies and is an exellent movie which is more like what Fleming intended Bond to be portayed on screen. I don't know, maybe I will see it on dvd and give it a chance.

i thought it would suck...it's not a leftist movie at all, but you have to take a movie for what it is, entertainment and it was one hell of a movie that will keep you entertained.

Daniel craig is a better actor as a nutball. Maybe because I watched the jacket only a week ago I had this image of him in my head as crazy so the entire time I watched it I kept expecting him to go nuts.

There are plenty of other decent action flicks that don't deliberately offend one's sensibilities as a leftist.

because i expect a movie to entertain me...and did just that...so i watched it rather than another film that wouldve dissapointed me..and my life does not revolve around "i cant watch a movie thats probably good because im a communist". yes im a communist and will tell anyone i am, but i want a movie to entertain me..and it did, and thats why i watched it

Yeah, I thought Craig did a good job too. Casino Royale was less tongue in cheek than previous Bonds.

Definatly the best of the Bond Films. They've completly cut the crap, as wll as most of the cheesy clichés, although there's plenty of humorous references to them. Its also probably more feminist friendly than any of the others.
