Will we be able to actually have a good time and have fun in a communist society ?
i will explain with an example, soccer.

will the national teams still exist after the revolution ? the same with videogames, will they still exist or will a communist society be full of grey robotic people ?

i'm sorry for my english and i hope you know what i mean

I think in a communist society, everything you said should still exist. I, personally, hope it does too. You mention soccer, or football, as us English like to call it. It remains to be seen if all the vastly overpaid football players would like all their money stripped away and play for nothing. In my opinion, that would not go down very well would it. They would have to be convinced that they are not playing for money no more, just for enjoyment. The subs that sit on the bench may take it hard, as they get paid stupid amounts for doing nothing, maybe just turning up for training and the actual match. If all this happened, then I see no reason why football can't be enjoyed in a communist society.

P.S. it's okay about your English, I understood it.

'Fun' is bourgeois. Once we attain communism, all that is 'fun' is to be abolished and more work put in its place. Your new 'fun' will begin once you awaken in your cracked, concrete-walled bedroom. Once cybernetics develop and computers can replace brains we can eventually destroy all humorous frivolties and reinforce it with even more work!

:P

Nah, fun will all be there, minus the outrageous paychecks that pros get. Why wouldn't it all be there?

lol, why do so many people think there will be all work and no play in a communist societey. With the equal distribution of work you will actually work less and have more freetime. Think about the history of mankind, proper thought did not come into exsistence until agriculture came around and people had time to sit in think instead of having to hunt and struggle for survival all the time. From this came great cultures such as the greeks. Think of all the art and philosophy that arose from the greeks. They certainly seemed happy and had fun. I believe that in a communist society we will actually have more fun and the era of art apreciation and intellectual thought will rise again.

If anything's no fun, it's capitalism.

‘Fun’ will be the basis of communist production. Communism is anti-work, if you don’t enjoy then you don’t have to do it!

Nation states will cease to exist so probably not but this doesn't mean that you can't form a soccer squad or play soccer.

Yes. Creating a dull, unfun society is just asking for trouble.

I'm sure there will be many guitar enthusiasts who enjoy making custom guitars.

Also, guitar and instrument collectives will have a lot of input in how they want to make guitars and the workers in separate collectives are probably not going to want to make the same thing as the next group. People will take pride in their work and want it to be special. There certainly wouldn't only be one type of guitar, and even if somehow there was, you or others would be allowed to pursue the manufacturing of custom guitars.

We should have professional football teams owned and controlled by the fans and the communities. The players could carry on getting £100,000 a week but it would be a bit pointless with money abolished. Professional football players would have free access to all goods and services like all other people. At the moment all they are doing is ripping off the fans. How many minimum wage supporters does it take to pay Michael Ballack his £120,000 a week at Chelsea?
