A biological/chemical weapon used in the Vietnam War against the VietCong. It destroyed the Vietnamese rainforests so US Helicopters, Fighters etc... could locate the enemy easily. As we all know the US and Allies had a hard time locating the VietCong and the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

The stuff is why Vietnam is in poverty today. The country has never recovered economically after all the crops, trees and land were destroyed. Areas of the country are still unagricultural due to the poison still being around. This coupled with the landmines left by the Americans and the Khmer Rouge has made life very difficult; people can't get to the farmland; crops can't grow; people are getting their legs blown off; hospitals are full; the country is keep in a circle of poverty.

The Americans sprayed the rainforests with Agent Orange so that they could see through the trees and it would make the killing easier for them, because the Vietcong had the advantage on the Yanks in Jungle Warfare.
