It has came to me before. and it has upset me before. But today. IT HIT ME! like a ton of bricks.
My parents and I can no longer call each other and talk about more important things suchs as..
their health, their well being, or what they did for fun or some good story about them and the rest of the family. everything turns into a bitter argument about money.

"Son why are bill collectors calling the house?"

"Son how much money do you owe"

"Son our mortgage went up, we cant afford your dads operation"

"do you need money??"

"Mom i need to borrow money"

"Son i can't borrow money from the my boss to lend you?"

"Dad i haven't been paid in a month"

It's fucking sad man. It's sad and depressing, My parents been working their asses off. and shit I have been to. and we have SHIT to fall back on. And what makes it works is that we grow apart from each other. Is like we don't even like keeping in touch because we are sure to worry and hear about each others financial problems.

I read on the Manifesto, not sure exactly how it was said by Marx but he said something how the Bourgeois or Capitalism has turn the family relationship to a money relationship. It has turn the scientist, the artist and the a family man into it's wage laborer

Yeah it&#39;s horrible.
I come from a rather large family spread out all over the world (Russia, Lithuania, US, Israel, Bahamas, Colombia). All from my mother&#39;s side since I never knew my father.
Fortunately there was only one incident when my grandfather&#39;s oldest son (my uncle) abandoned the whole family and disappeared into the unknown because my grandparents were unable to give him any money since they ran into a rough time.
I have since seen him on the street and he ignored me even as i tried to say hello to him.
All the other members of the family don&#39;t like getting into money issues. We send a little bit of money when we can to my mother&#39;s parents when we can because we know they are in a shit situation. However, they would never ask for the money, because of my grandfather&#39;s pride and the knowledeg that me and my mother are close to being as broke as they are.
