Would I be correct in assuming English isnt your first language?

I havent heard of "new marxism" but "Neo Marxism" ("Neo" being japanese for "new") is a school of philosphical thought centred around "dialectial idealism", as opposed to the "dialectial materialism" used by most marxists. To my knowledge it has no connection with Troskyism.

The New Left is a broad term refering to the left wing of politics in the west in the later half of the 20th century onwards. Eurocommunists and hippies were part of the new left.

I dont know what a new conservative is, but a neo-conservative (neocon) is a social and economic conservative (right winger). The term Neo-con is mostly used to refer to the ideology of the Republican party in the US from President Reagan onwards, although it has sometimes been used in a negative sense to refer to the policies of the Conservative party under Thatcher and onwards.

Eurocommunists were not a part of the New Left. First of all they generally came later than hippies (they started emerging in the 70s) and were generally just social democrats influenced as opposed to leftists who brought diverse societal analysis (such as analysis of minorities, females, queers, etc within capitalist society) into the leftist movement.

Just a linguistic correction ;)
