Congo Crisis - Somebody help

Alright, a friend of mine told me of what happened in the congo sort of. Lumumba being assasinated by the cia under eisenhower and a puppet government of the us installed so that we could rape the congo for years. Can anybody give me anymore info on this? Thanks.

There's a couple good recent books by Ludo DeWitte. He goes into a lot of recently declassified documents, solidly establishes that Lumumba was killed by Belgian officers for example.
