While researching my Slavic ancestry, I started wondering why communism was so appealing to the Slavic nations of Eastern Europe. After looking into the history of the Slavs, I seem to surmise this:

The Slavs have long been a peasant culture. Most were farmers, or worked the land in some manner. Russia was seen as the protector of all Slavs, and after the Bolshevik revolution, most Slavs found socialism appealing.

What do you think?

i know peasants usually like the idea of collectivism, but is it anarchism or communism?

even american farmers find the concept of socialism more appealing.

why?

the government subsidises them. they're well taken care of by the FG as they're the most important factor in any civilised society.

Because amongst peasents, the idea of sharing the land they all work on and keeping the harvest out of a feudal land owners hands is a great idea.
They work and work and work and so logicaly the harvest is theirs. Then the idea of land owning being immoral because it is either gods (though I am, sure there is no god I accept peoples beliefs) or that land is something that belongs to every one, not some one.
