The ninth of december 2000 a young nazi was murdered by a youth gang in the community of Salem outside Stockholm. The nazis have since raised him to a martyr and a victim of anti-white violence and early in december every year they have held a large marsch through Salem. This marsch have long united the nazi movment and through it they have gained a revival in sweden, it also enabled them to spread very much propaganda, show their strenght and rally young boys to their cause. Today the Salem marsch is the biggest annual nazi marsch in northern Europe (with participants from all over europe), though it have diminished somewhat the last years.
Antifascists have held protest rallys against the nazi marsch but even though they have been quite large they have failed to disturb the nazis in any larger extent, much less stopped it. But we will keep trying. Last time we had as our goal to actually stop the marsch was in 2003 when antifascists gathered at a square that the nazis have chosen as their gathering point. When the nazis start arriving at a nearby train station the police charge the antifascist rally with intent to clear space for the nazis. But the antifascists held the square and the nazis had to change their route and was delayed. A small victory but not very cheap, many antifascists were injured in clashes with the police. Many policemen were injured to, and surpricingly many police stayed home "sick" the following year. Movie: http://youtube.com/watch?v=UFXF-riKUEw
2004 and 2005 the antifascists held protests in central Stockholm, ockupied two key train stations and had groups at other stations ready to confront fascists. Many fascists were confronted and more delayed, but it did not really do any big harm to the marsch itself. The marsch could not be stopped by this tactic.
This time, we will return to Salem. And this time it seems that we will be more than ever before. And the nazis have gone into internal fighting and the largest nazi organization, the National Socialist Front have chosen not to participate in the marsch.
So now we will be stronger and they will be weaker. Now we do have a chanse to actually stop the marsch, either by physically blocking it or by causing so much disorder that the police won't allow the marsch to go through Salem the next year.
There will be busses from Denmark:
