The ninth of december 2000 a young nazi was murdered by a youth gang in the community of Salem outside Stockholm. The nazis have since raised him to a martyr and a victim of anti-white violence and early in december every year they have held a large marsch through Salem. This marsch have long united the nazi movment and through it they have gained a revival in sweden, it also enabled them to spread very much propaganda, show their strenght and rally young boys to their cause. Today the Salem marsch is the biggest annual nazi marsch in northern Europe (with participants from all over europe), though it have diminished somewhat the last years.

Antifascists have held protest rallys against the nazi marsch but even though they have been quite large they have failed to disturb the nazis in any larger extent, much less stopped it. But we will keep trying. Last time we had as our goal to actually stop the marsch was in 2003 when antifascists gathered at a square that the nazis have chosen as their gathering point. When the nazis start arriving at a nearby train station the police charge the antifascist rally with intent to clear space for the nazis. But the antifascists held the square and the nazis had to change their route and was delayed. A small victory but not very cheap, many antifascists were injured in clashes with the police. Many policemen were injured to, and surpricingly many police stayed home "sick" the following year. Movie: http://youtube.com/watch?v=UFXF-riKUEw

2004 and 2005 the antifascists held protests in central Stockholm, ockupied two key train stations and had groups at other stations ready to confront fascists. Many fascists were confronted and more delayed, but it did not really do any big harm to the marsch itself. The marsch could not be stopped by this tactic.

This time, we will return to Salem. And this time it seems that we will be more than ever before. And the nazis have gone into internal fighting and the largest nazi organization, the National Socialist Front have chosen not to participate in the marsch.
So now we will be stronger and they will be weaker. Now we do have a chanse to actually stop the marsch, either by physically blocking it or by causing so much disorder that the police won't allow the marsch to go through Salem the next year.

There will be busses from Denmark:

1161 antifascists gathered in Salem and approx 250-300 in central Stockholm. The Salem-demonstration has marsched. After completing th emarsch half of the demonstration departed and around 600 antifascists remained. Hundreds of police exit their vans and the police then charged into the rear with horses. People held together in arm crooks and threw fire crackers at the horses. The police continued their charge. The larger part of the antifascist force shattered and are being chased down towards an parking place by the police. A hard core of 70 antifascists are still holding their ground. The police are attacking them with horses and pepperspray again and again and again.

Now the situation is chaotic. Around 800 antifascists are moving around in Rönninge in mostly smaller groups, constantly charged by mounted police. The police have ordered no trains to stop in Rönninge so most nazis can't arrive until the police have cleared away all antifascists.

Most of the nazis has still not reached Salem. The train tracks has been sabotaged and the gear-wires have been cut, so their train can only move at very slow speed. 300 nazis have arrived. 200 antifas have been surounded in Salem.

Antifascists road blocks were erected and some nazi's cars got their windows smashed. The police were everywere, antifascists were forced to run around in surounding forests with helicopters searching above. Quick strikes and then back again. Like a mini guerilla war.

The nazis were 940, that is 250 less than last year.

I bet that they would have found some "new martyr" in a couple of years. But anyway, I think that the anti-fascist movement, at least since Gothenburg 2001, have more or less alienated itself from the streets, and today, people in general just seem to view them as well as the nazis as two tribes who are quarreling about things which people do not understand.

In fact, before anti-nazi demonstrations resulted in artificial mob violence, the anti-fascists had more public support.

Thats pretty rad. Though those kids throwing bricks at the parked van was... stupid to say the least. They only hit about half the time lol.

This time though, quite plenty of locals were out on the streets aiding the antifascists, giving them directions and cheers etc.

Well done lads.A lot of people like to just type political rhetoric on the internet instead of actually physically challenging the fascists.I hope it was a good victory for the Antifas.

Hehe, those were some pretty heavy fights apparently.
About the throwing of bricks at the vans: I once was at an antifa protest where, just as we confronted the nazis, people started throwing rocks at the nearest mcdonalds  police vans are a way better target!
