We watched it in my social problems class today. Very funny and very good movie. I thought William H. Macy and Robert Duval were briliant in their respective roles.

Any one else seen this movie and feel the same way?

yeah, watched it on my last flight to England.
Very nice movie and fucking hilarious too.

The only problem was it made me want a cigarette really hard and I was on a 9-hour flight.

Yeah I absolutely hate that, when you watch a movie which involves smoking at all and every scene you see a cigarette your like NOW

Strange, I just got done watching it 30 minutes ago. I liked it, especially the part during the congressional hearings where he said something to the effect of "and your campaign contributions don't give you a conflict of interest?".

I thought it showed the viewpoint of a lobbyist well. The things he says were dead on. Changing the argument, arguing for the audience and not against the other person, arguments versus negotiation. It was a good insight into the PR politicians minds. And what a strange movie to have a lobbyist as the main character for a comedy. I think we need more movies like this to show the game of American politics, and how manipulative it all is.

Very good and funny movie. I like how the VT Senator was so stereotypically from Vermont (i.e. the maple syrup on his desk and the "our cheddar is better" sign in his office). I also thought it was really good debating skills when he proposed putting a warning sign on high-cholesterol foods.
