It may of escaped your attention but Stalin had been dead for 15 odd years by the time Che died. Not to mention nobody has actually provided any proof what so ever that Brezhneve and his gang were actually glad Che died. I think that by the time Che died the USSR most likely did not give a fuck. I wouldn't say they were happy but it's a well known fact that the Soviet Union was becoming pretty pissed off at Che for criticizing them. I think they thought Che was a little bit of a loose cannon, he had to many of his own ideas and they disliked that.
