Is the Pope Catholic?

Anybody who is opposed to interracial marriage is, quite simply, a racist.

without a doubt.

Even if the person is black, for instance? I would say that it all just depends on the reason. My parents have a somewhat negative opinion of inter-racial romance, but I do not feel that they are racist. Racism is against there religion for one thing. Hinduism on the other hand prohibits relationships between people of different castes.

I know lots of people say "I'm not racist, BUT..." but I've never had any prejudice against anyone of any race or colour or anything.

But it's only recently that this is taking effect on me - whereas once I would have "noticed" a black person or a Chinese person or whatever, now I cannot actually see the difference between people of different races. Everyone is the same, I don't see any difference between, for example, a Nigerian and an American. Apart from the obvious fact that they're from different parts of the world :) But you know what I mean!

Black people can be racists too. I've heard of African blokes with HIV who want to rape white women because they see it as a form of biological weaponry.

Hi. An interesting test we took as part of a psych subject recently. Take the test. The results may surprise you. http://www.understandingprejudice.org/iat/index2.htm
Enjoy. grrregg.

I seriously hate it when people say that - I live in an English town with a large population of ethnic minorities, and you hear so many people say "I'm not racist, but I hate Pakistanis," it makes no sense whatsoever.

I try and debate these people, but they accept no rational argument or logical retort to their pathetic statements, so it's a waste of time.

I'm not racist but I hate black people. Don't get me wrong some of my best mates are black.

See, you can't debate with these people because you have two fundamentally different world views crashing head first into each other. Racism bases itself on the presupposition that A. Race exists, B. Race affects objective states, C. Race has always existed, will always exist, and is inseparable once born.

Most Communists, Anarchists, and other social progressives don't believe that race exists; we know that race does not affect things like your health, your intelligence, your capabilities, etc; and we understand that our concept of "race" is just simply differentiating exposure to sunlight over generations.

Once these points are accepted, arguing from a racist standpoint is like arguing that The Moon is made of cheese while standing on The Moon. It is illogical, baseless, irrational, and quite frankly belongs in Science Fiction.

There is one race. There is the Human race. Self-hating Human beings can be tossed into space.
