What a fucking tosspot.
The bnp got a lot of air time for this, I was on a coach listening to the radio, and they must have given nick about 2 mins to peddle his bullshit, unchallenged . This clearly is a damaging blow for anti-fascism.

think about it though.

not that i agree nor wish to defend what the bnp fuhrer said, however i think he's good for us in this position. the bnp is having finance troubles (see bbc news), the rank and file membership are becoming increasingly annoyed by the Griffin-Barnes thing, add in the Ebanks episode, etc etc - I think he's annoying his members and generally making stupid decisions: this helps us. Whilst I'd have loved to have seen him sent down we need to consider the implications of this - the party would be able to put someone competent in charge and make Griffin out a martyr, which would boost membership and help them in the longrun.

Griffin was behind bars before anyway, for distributing magazines about holocaust denial. It didnt stop him peddling his shite that time either.

We should stop hoping that the law is going to provide a solution, we all know the police and courts are on the side of the fash. Providing a left alternative is all we can do.

we should definitely stop hoping that! if we advocate the government having such powers to use against the right then just as easily they could turn around and use the same powers against us.

and remember where Mein Kampf was written comrades.

Yes but remember how awfully Hitler wrote it, and how badly Hess edited it - I don't think we have to fear Nick Griffin going to prison in case he writes a book.
