On Monday there will be a meeting for the discussion group which I head about Politics (We will likely be discussing Oaxaca this time), but the previous meetings have been largely unorganized due to the difficult discussion methods of the group - any advice on how to organize a unanarchic but still free discussion with a group of people?
Thanks

I'd say, just talk, but that's probably too 'anarchic' for you, so why not try a standard discussion with a moderator and someone who writes down the people that rose their hands to reply?

Well its Local and sortof informal so that would be difficult. Currently the majority are liberals so I am slowly trying to convert them to a Marxist position, yet slowly as to not be seen as a agendist.

Sorry if this comes across as a bit patronising, but have a facilitator.
Chair the meeting, don't have a formal debate, but have someone who can direct the debate slightly. Stop people talking over eachother etc.

Agreed. You need someone there just to make sure things don't get out of hand. People eventually will start talking over each other and shouting without giving others a chance to speak.
I've been a chair for a society for two years and I find that a chair is necessary to ensure that a discussion doesn't go too far off-topic and that everyone gets a chance to speak.
