As you may have noticed by now, Cuba has overwhelmingly defeated the US in the UN vote against the blockade. This years figures were a record 183-4.

However, Australia reached a new low this time, while voting against the blockade (coz they haven't the gorm to do want they really want to do), they proposed an amendment to the motion.

The amendment lost. This is, however, just the latest in a line of recent attacks from the Australian Government on Cuba and Venezuela (Foreign Minister Downer echoed almost verbatim the idiocies of John Bolton about 'freedom of speech' after Chavez' speech to the UN).
