Well, this could have serious consequences. Like the article points out (and also is commonly known) insects do carry diseases like malaria. While medication exists, it's too expensive for most people living in third world countries..

One more reason to get rid of that capitalism thing, both to stop the environmental damage that can lead to the warming of the global climate, and to give birth to a new global solidarity to help the victims of it.

The spread of mosquitoes and malaria to areas which were previously free from them is definitely a concern. However, not all cases have been the cause of global warming. For example, it was thought that the spread of mosquitoes in higher elevations of Kenya was due to global warming but it was later challenged by evidence that deforestation and other factors had caused the climate change.

Either way, harmful insects will be the least of our worries if major climate change does occur.
