I was curious what people thought about National Socialist Black Metal?
I dont really consider it to be national socialist because all NS means is that the band is racist, usually you can tell a NSBM band from a normal BM band by the use of the word "aryan" or the use of swastika like patterns. Wouldnt they be fascist? The use of the word aryan and swastikas describes extreme nationalism, doesnt it?

It sucks. About 99% of the bands are just some hatecore boneheads who want to sound grim and cold.

Depends on the context. If you were to talk about that in Asia, it would certainly be associated with Hinduism. However, since National-Socialists (once again) stole those symbols and gave them a "new" meaning, everyone in the western world associates words like "aryan" and "swastikas" with National-Socialism. But in this case, you could say that those symbols represent nationalism.

P.S: I´m not sure if this should be in Opposing Ideologies or in Music.

"National Socialism" has nothing to do with leftist or Marxist socialism. "National Socialist" = Nazi. In fact, the word NAZI is a sort of amalgam of the german words for National Socialism just like SOZI was a short form for socialists in Germany back then. So yeah, theyre fascist, racist, nationalist, etc.
