The British developer of the world wide web says he is worried about the way it could be used to spread "misinformation and undemocratic forces".
I came across this today, it appears that they may try to regulate and control the internet in the near future, to keep revolutionary individuals and movements from voicing their ideas, using this bullshit as the excuse, just as they have done with the other forms of media.

yes they have been trying to censor the internet for quite a while.
the most effective method so far is putting sections of the internet under corporate control that you have to pay for to get access to the censored materials.
fortunatly the public sites are spreading like wildfire but for how long ?

The internet is fast becoming one of our most important weapons. Take Oaxaca forinstance, it was basicaly blanked by the mainstream press in the UK but millions are very well informed of the events through the net. People have to bypass the press if they want to know what is really happening in the world. The establishment don't like this freedom but if you ask me they can do little about it. There is too many good, talented people out there who believe in the freedom and unselfish nature of the internet.

So the whole of the global elite intends to emulate the U.S., China, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia on a larger scale with regards to Internet censorship? No thanks. No fucking thanks.

Yeah i wrote about this a few months ago when i first started to see signals of cencorship on the internet.
And as now as then they use different reasons like childpornographi, drugs, different kinds of grouppressures threw forums, criminalorganisation etc to scare and pressure the people to call for the government to act. But if we give the little freedom to close down some websites we give them the freedom to close down all of them. Internet is so important, its our times most important tool as we are on a level of global consciousness.
It must remain free!. And that is what our governments hate, our freedom.
Just recently the Europe union put forward a suggestion that websites and uploading of amatuer movies must have license.

but i must add if they dare to start a war on internet it will be a tough battle. Couse we will put forward our 15 years old 4 eyed computer genius to fight them. seriously Hackers own the net.
