Hi

personally I don't think they have enough resources for such a thing. They seem to have a genuine anti-imperialist stance, but for me that's where the positive things stop.

i think their "anti-imperialist" stance comes mostly from their isolation and not from any desire to help oppressed people, given the extreme poverty and repression of the north korean people.

China student does...and a few of the Stalinist members (D Vrokin, I think that's his name)
Anyone else?

Nuclear capability is a plus in order to protect themselves from the imperialists, so as to avoid the fate of Sadaam and Iraq
In addition, they were never gonna use those weapons, the arsenal that the US has dwarfs anything the NorthKoreans developed
More or less, Pyongyang's recent nuclear capability is a deterrent against invasion and a medium by which they can protect their hermit kingdom and yet still negotiate at the UN

nuclear weapons are not an good anti-imperialist weapon though. nuclear weapons are for killing huge numbers of civilians (such as bombing seoul), and i wouldnt trust someone like kim jong il with that kind of weaponry.

^I wouldn't trust Uncle Kim nor George Bush, nor any capitalists with these weapons
But like I said, nuclear weapons are an effective deterrent against invasion
U can't fight a war with nuclear weapons, but u can avoid a war with em
Pyongyang uses its nuclear capability as a deterrent not a weapon, if they developed their capability to use as a weapon their either stupid or over-confident
No way is NK gonna compete with the US in nuclear arms
That's why they used them as a deterrent, to avoid another Iraq

the US wouldnt invade NK anyway, nuclear weapons or not. there's no way we could do it given our current troop deployments. anyone with nukes is a scary prospect, and NK has no legitimate right to them, and neither does the US.

The sheer suggestion that North Korea might be a worker's state demeans leftists everywhere.
