Deftones New Cd

I reall liked Around the Fur, the older Cd's were better, White Pony was aight, has anybody heard their new one?

It sounds like they are taking the path most bands do, to shittiness

I would say the new self titled deftones album is a progression... at least different from most of their older stuff... not shitty in the least bit, but different. Adrenaline (their first major album as far as i know) doesn't compare to this in my mind. This is arguably their best album. It sounds similar at times to Chino's side project with lead singer from Pinback and a couple other artists' Team Sleep. There are some mellow tracks reminiscent of a few from white pony, but the same head banging "i'm gonna bang out like 50 pushups right now" tracks.

The lyrics seem to play a more significant role in this album too. Although still obscure.

And i highly disagree with your quote/sig. Your modern socialism is a product of civilization which is based on the abuse of the poor/slavery. Without slavery, this modern world we live in (which you worship) would never exist -- and neither would the mass extinction we are currently facing throughout the world. At current rates, if unobstructed, rainforests will no longer exist by the year 2050. Damn politicians have lost sense of reality. Civilization is a relatively new concept and is proving to be the most destructive force the earth has witnessed since the termination of dinosaurs.

The new Deftones album is not the self titled one, the new one Saturday night wrist came out yesterday, I have yet to buy it.

In terms of their previous albums, the first one is the best IMO.
