I am hoping someone can help me out here.

Does anyone have any info and the name of a Japanese anarchist, who in 1911 was executed for an alleged assination attempt against the Emperor of Japan. Many think he was framed by the Japanese political/secret police for it.

Also some info on the anarchist and autonomist/council communist movement of Japan in from the late 19th century till now would be helpful too.

There was a really detailed article on Libcom a while ago that I read, I'd suggest searching there for it.

Sorry I can't help more. I've become really interested in Eastern anarchist history recently, but haven't had a moment to delve into it. Anyone else notice how Eurocentric the anarchist conversation about our history is? Spanish Civil War, Paris Commune, Makhno. Okay, we get it, white guys are revolutionaries. But seriously! An anarcho friend of mine has been telling me about the Korean anarchist scene and I hear it's just wild.

Is it racist to say that mostly asian culture disaproves of autoomous groupings and organisations? Because thats what i think. I mean if you look at it any asian country i can think of has a centralised government. Also all the revolutionary ideas that were exported there from Europe were the most authoritarian ones, as were those who were homegrown.

That might explain why we hear so little from anarchists in that part of the world...

There were 26 who were actually charged with treason. Kotoku Shusui, whom you may be thinking about, was one of the 12 executed.

It doesn't have anything to do with cultural values but rather the governments that were in place during this period.

Anarchism and communism are authoritarian?

Are you refering to the 1929-1931 autonomous region of Shinsi (spelling???).

It was formed by the Korean Federation of Anarchist Communists (KFAC) by some refugees from Japanese ruled Korea in the border area of Korea and Manchuria.

It was, from what I know highly successful and looked promising, but was crushed with the establishment of the Empire of Manchukou in the autumn of 1931 after the Japanese intervened.
