Hello comrades! Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I wasn't really sure where to put it  I am currently working an a project: Making Anarchism a Threat Again where me and a few others are interviewing as many people in the Bay Area as possible and putting out either a report or something on what Anarchists are up to now, what they've been involved in before, what works, what doesn't...etc etc. I hate labels myself because people might call themselves communist but are very anti-state, so if your an anti authoritarian communist your welcome to shoot me an email. Here's a little tid-bit on what we're doing, to give you folks a better idea:
This interview project is part of a new anarchist school called the Matchbook Learning Project. Matchbook is a Bay-Area-based anarchist education and research project dedicated to investigating the issues that are centrally important to us and our communities, in cultivating communities of opposition within the U.S., and in our political activism.
The purpose of this research project is to examine the political activity of Bay Area anarchists and to try to understand how effective we are. We are using interviews to gather information first hand from a wide range of Bay Area anarchists and people with anarchist affinities. With such a broad, diverse and hard-to-define group, we aim to interview as many people as possible.
The interview is quite simple. The main topics are these:
What is effectiveness? Political success? Social change?
What is effective and inspiring (past and present) among anarchist projects?
Do you feel part of an anarchist community?
What are we doing? (what are you doing? what are others doing? politically, socially, culturally, etc.)
How could we be more politically effective?
What should our goals be (long and short term)?
What should we be doing?
We hope to record all these interviews. This will make it easier to share the information and process the results. We plan to publish a report including quotations from our recordings. We may also put together an audio zine of inspiring voices of local anarchists. But we will not use your voice or your name without your consent. And if you do not feel comfortable being recorded, that is an option as well.
For your protection: We want to remind everyone who gets interviewed to be cautious about what you say. Protect your privacy. Don't say anything incriminating. Don't say anything you wouldn’t say out loud in public.
Anyways, i'd love to interview more comrades, so if your interested email me at [email protected], or forward this information to comrades in the bay area. This is only geared towards the San Francisco Bay Area, but something similar could be started anywhere. :AO:
