Terror Detainee Bill ends habeus corpus!

The Military Commisiona Act of 2006 which has recently been passed by congress officially overthrows the U.S. Constitution and gives President Bush dictatorial power. Under this law the government can name anyone including a U.S. Citizen as an enemy combatant, revoke they’re citizenship, and then indefinitely detain them in a military prison, secretly torture them, secretly try them in a kangaroo court, and then secretly execute them. Not necessarily in that order.

No, it was signed on Oct. 17th, 2006 so its about a week old. I posted a thread on it right before the boards were hacked but the thread was lost in the back-up. The law is very frightening. Basically, if a government court declares you as an enemy combatant (which they can do for nearly any reason, they just have to agree on it) you have no right to habeas corpus.

Actually, it's not a government court that designates "enemy combatants". It's whomever is the president.
