Anyone else like 'Intelligent Metal' (dislike the term) like Mastodon, Opeth or Isis?

Isis and Opeth are good bands.

I really liked Opeths collaboration with Steve Wilson (Porcupine Tree) to produce the Damnation album, which is probably my favorate Opeth album, save perhaps Blackwater Park, which is an amazing album.

Yeah Steve Wilson I think is even better as a producer than anything else.

Do you like Still Life by Opeth? I enjoy Mikael Akerfeldt's stories, they're actually quite interesting and, unlike most metal storytellers, not overly-cheesy or childish

I have Leviathon, but haven't yet gotten Blood Mountain. My friend bought it, and said it was wicked, but alas I have yet to hear it.

As for Opeth, they are my favorite band. I don't really like Steve Wilson becuase Damnation and Deliverance are my least favorite Opeth albums, but as a producer...

I'm definately going to have to listen to it.
