Thats not hardcore, thats just screaming incoherently into a microphone with death metal base and guitar.
Rob Zombie is hardcore. If you want to make rock music then you have to have a coherent beat, and a worthwhile voice singing style. Screaming shit into a microphone is just immature blathering to a beat.
Though his new stuff is kinda a let-down... like Foxy Foxy  . Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgWCarLULpE) is an example, excuse the rampent Nationalism.

no one has to be hurt, but it actually has to make sense to call it 'hardcore'. There is nothing hard either physically or intellectually about raving to horrible music. Why called something that emerged in the early to mide 90s hardcore when it just horrid dance parties and when a long establish genre had existed for nearly 15 years prior to that electronic shit.
Real Hardcore means far more than some rich kids who dance all night under the influence of drugs, Hardcore is by its very nature a left-wing genre of music where people have a say and make a stand against the outside world. Don't try talk shit on what is a worldwide scene of kids with a million times more intestinal fortitude than those who take the safe options in life and hang at clubs.

You saying that the majority aren't collar popped fuckbags wearing massive pants and sniffing coke? You're dreaming.
I went to school with a girl who thought she was some authority on this dance music rubbish and she condeded in a similar debate its primarily just rich kids.
Never thought I'd use the word in music forum but I'd say it but continually calling this useless dance music genre 'hardcore' is nothing but anti-historicity in the face of a music form which predates this dance shit by over a decade.
Have you ever prayed to the night sky?
Under one of them cold street lights?
Watched another stolen car drive then lose your hope and say "This is where I'll die"?
But you try to say you know me.
But you try to say you're from my world.
Well, have you ever gone to sleep to the sounds of the gunshots, sirens, and violence all alone?
They want to break me down. I hope I can hold my ground.
Your world is MTV. Spring breaks and ecstasy.
You got your hopes and you'll get your dreams.
Well, that choice wasn't there for me.
My world remains unseen by you.
Poverty and no family,
Broken homes and broken dreams,
I fall upon the thorns of life. I bleed.
They want to break me down. I won't back down.
They try to break me down. I hope I can hold my ground.
I ain't I your kind of white. I ain't that kind of white.
I'll never be your kind of white, I'll never be your kind 'cause you made me outcast.
I ain't your kind of white. I've never been your kind of white.
I ain't that kind of white 'cause I'm a lowlife outcast piece of white trash.
Five years on down the road (you've got) two kids and a high paying job,
(with a) picket fence and a college degree.
Well, that choice wasn't there for me.
This path on which I walk: it ain't a game and it ain't all talk.
This is all I ever had.
This is all they ever let me have.
I ain't ever been nor will I ever be another blind eye in society.
I seen the way it was for the people like me.
I seen the way it was for the families so...
Have you ever prayed to the night sky?
Under one of them cold street lights?
Watched another stolen car drive by and lost your hope and said "This is where I'll die"?
I ain't I your kind of white. I ain't that kind of white.

Dude, first of all, drop the damn stereotypes. Second of all, Hardcore is called Hardcore because it's a extreme loud and hard genre of music. For the same reason hard pornography is called hardcore-porn. Offcourse this music has no message, just like almost every other form of electronic music, but it's for entertainment. It's not like we're always on dope, always listening to "meaningless" music and only think about partys. Yes in the mid 90's the scene got overhyped, there was such thing as happy hardcore and yes there were lot's of bald-shaved idiots listening to that horrible music. This caused the scene to collapse. Only few who truly loved the music kept the scene aliva, and for now, several years later, the music has grown in many different ways.
Although it has no message, the music is a form or art, I find myself more chilling on Hardcore then dancing on hardcore.

Hmm, Porcupine Tree and Aphex Twin middle of the road? Boring to you perhaps, but hardly middle of the road. 'Come to Daddy' or Voyage 34 aren't exactly going to come up on a Bing Crosby LP.
But in fairness its called 'opinion'; what you find boring is just for you. But what do you listen to? Noise like Merzbow?

Thats crap.
Infact saying that a style of music isn't music is crap.
If it has rythm, beat, SOUND then it is music.
Actually the style of sing vocalists use in hardcore/screamo, ie. the "screaming" is something that is really really quite hard to get right, it is something that not anyone can do and to actually do it with skill is very very hard and takes extensive vocal training. Ask any decent vocalist.
To anyone who is interested in the genre check out the stuff coming out of Australia right now.

Well, that is gabber and it is indeed comparable to hardcore, though much, much more commercial. It also has a lot of ridicilously poppy samples and the kick is usually too hard to got with the beat.

Yeah, I was talking about gabber in general. Angerfist is not too bad at times, though still too commercial for me.
Oh, and Tommy Knocker is more breakcore-like, I believe. Not sure, don't know him well.
No, Tommyknocker is just average mainstream hardcore from Italy. It has a different sound, but still it's mainstream just like good old boring Angerfist ;)

Because music doesn't have to be leftist to be good?
Besides, it's not like electronic music can't be leftist.

Simple, because inherently leftwing it maybe, but it also bores the hell out of me.
Yes OK, we got your point about two posts ago, thanks.
"Machines are not music", right?
That kind of attitude pisses me off.

LOL the drummer from the first clip has a manowar t-shit.
For those who are unaware, manowar are the ultimate example of a 'real life' spinaltap.

Best tracks are in my opinion, "Lets build a nerd fort' and "Lion Girl".
