Fellow RevLefters, one of my friends recently discussed something with me that not only pissed me off but also energized me to get more involved in the struggle for worker's rights

It seems that my friend, whom we'll call Dave, used to work in a catering factory
The factory was rather small, only employing a couple of ppl (8-10 ppl to be exact)
Well, it seems that the employers and managers were rather abusive and exploitative (working their ppl long hrs, bullshit pay, no benefits, threats,...)
And there reached a point where Dave was continuously being abused and his employers were looking for an excuse to fire him, among others

Well, they finally got the opportunity and fired him for bullshit reasons
They did the same to others and no action was taken against them

And now that Dave is at another job, he's being exploited as well, same things
I talked to him about unions and the IWW
But seeing how this new job only employs about 8ppl, his employers in the past and now have threatened him and others if they get involved with unions

Dave and his co-workers have not taken any legal action either, due to their detached attitude towards their work and all
In addition to their lack of money and knowledge

I've been thinking about it, but Im stumped
Any hints/opinions/or advice my friends?

tell dave to stop being a pussy , this shit HAPPENS ALL THE TIME , in florida , there are no unions , or non to speak off , and worst of all its a "Right to Work" state , meaning and employeer can fire you at any time for any reason , this is this way cause were pussies , yes WE ARE PUSSIES , the wool not only has been pulled over our eyes , they have been laughing at us while they were doing it , dave is a pussy , as am I , and you for that matter. why , cause this is our sad reality , and like you im at wits end of it , a good long time friend of mine got imprisoned for 5 years for theft , he was realesed 9 years ago , he cant get a job above the McDonalds level , he still has to live with his parents and I dont doubt that at some time he will once again find him self in prison , I blame the bullshit system we live in cause there practically putting back there allready.
If you really want to get involved and your friends plight bothers you as well as other peoples , start by calling people out on there shit. I my self am trying to start a "larbor union" of some sort , its not easy , but i got most of classmates involved. i dont know man , gtg.

Hanibal please be a bit more mature, I'm trying some sort of unioninsing thing at school as well but I don't think I'll lose my education as a result. "Dave" should try and unionise, but he should try and unionise within the union for that area of industry, that's the most efficent way to unionise.
