Hello everyone Im sarah, how are you all doing?

Well Im a freelance journalist I hope you can help me... Im writing an article about the wave of interest in "freegans" who have recently been the subject of much media coverage in the UK. (for those of you who are not aware Freeganism is described as a philosophy to get food from free resources eg. taking surplus food chucked out by stores at the end of the day, in order to bypass contributing to industry and the economy) In my research I have found that most freegans subscribe to the DIY philosophy also. I just wanted to know:

1. How many of you consider yourselves freegan?
2. How do you feel about the association between DIY and freegans?
3: If you are freegan do you advocate actualling taking stuff from stores.. and why?
lastly
4: how do you feel about the arguement that shoplifting hurts those that work within stores? (affects their bonus)

I would really really appreciate any response to this post and I thank you in advance.

thanks people :D

LOL i have no idea the actual origins of the word but it is a mergence of "free" and "vegan" because it's keeping to vegan ideal of non cruelty..

No, I was just asking.
Anyway, I don't fit the description, I support shoplifting, I'm just too lazy to do it
