I been to their website and seen the news reports concerning the Oaxaca and APPO situations. however I would like to know if ANY of you know if theres anything I can read that sort of gives an entire overview on how all this got started and whats the ultimate goal.

I know some of this things because I'm up todate with the current news but I was more focused on the mexican elections and on San Salvador Atenco which made me start paying more attention to the Oaxaca situation a bit later and now i feel it has progressed too much(which is good!) but I have no real foundation of it.
so please help me out and suggest any reading that explains how it started and such!

thank you!

On the NEFAC (http://nefac.net/) web page we have several press releases from the APPO and an analysis of the large teachers strike and occupations that lead into the current situation.

Also If you are able to find a copy of our journal "the Northeastern Anarchist" our last issue was a focus on an organisation in Oaxaca called the CIPO-RFM, they are an indigenous council based within the anarchist current and represent about 20 communities in the state, including an organisation in the capital. There is a link in the publications section of our site where you can find out where to get copies, its available in most states and many countries in Europe.

Hope this helps a bit.
